Frequently Asked Questions
How do I apply for the OZEV grant?
By far the easiest way to apply for the OZEV grant is to fill out the relevant form on the official government site. Once you’ve received your unique voucher code through email, you can purchase your EV installations through an OZEV approved installer, such as us at Bailey Electrical.
What is the difference between OLEV and OZEV?
OZEV (Office for Zero Emission Vehicles) is essentially the replacement name for OLEV (Office for Low Emission Vehicles).
What level of charge is suitable for my premises?
There are three levels of charge, Level 1 being the slowest and Level 3 the fastest. Level 1 is best suited for homes, whereas Level 3 is not considered suitable for residential locations due to the high voltages required. Level 2 is a happy medium between these two and is a suitable choice for homes, workplaces and public spaces. If you’re not sure which charge level is best for your location, our team of EV chargepoint installation experts can help you choose.
